Home Sharing

This is a personalized, long-term living arrangement in which one or two individuals share their lives with a care giver who provides holistic support. The home may take several forms and is matched to each individuals personal needs and requirements. The homes can range from a shared apartment or condo, to a bedroom in a fully accessible home with adaptive equipment as needed.

Typically, individuals who fit best in home sharing are those who are able to self-report concerns to the program manager and are able to independently evacuate the residence in case of an emergency.

Home sharing is funded by Community Living BC and is at no-cost for the individual. Funding for the provider is provided by CLBC in accordance with their Guide to Support Allocation.
